Whistler

This is a Marmot which is a member of the squirrel family. This little fellow was obviously used to people because he appeared from under a rock when he heard our voices. He happily posed for photographs. This taken on the top of Blackcomb peak in Whistler. The marmot whistles and they say that is how Whistler got it's name. It was very interesting because our host who has had an annual pass for years and years was nearly more excited than us - he had never seen one before!!
