Started my 2 week placement with the Mark Enhancement lab yesterday for the next part of my training and this miniature version of the mammoth Fingerprint Development Handbook will be my Bible for the next few weeks as I learn the tricks of the trade to develop fingerprints for analysis on almost any type of surface - from newspapers to coffee tables! You name it, it can be treated!

I was, am and never will be a lab minded person so for fear of doing something wrong I'm under the supervision of 3 very skilled lab folk - Louise, Murray and Kimberley. But they did hint that they might let me loose with the Black Powder Suspension one day! :)
