Caerlaverock Castle

There's nothing like a visit to a castle to cheer you up and today I went to Caerlaverock Castle in Dumfriesshire. What an adventure it was exploring the castle ruins and looking at all the fancy stonework. I imagine it was quite a place when people once lived here ... although the heating bill must have been enormous!
