In my mother's curlicued script, the back reads: "Brian 3yr Venice May 84 St Mark's Square" I remember getting that plastic camera from a man who had this long staff filled with toy cameras hanging like Christmas ornaments from a tall fir tree. My only other vivid memory of that time was riding in the Volvo station wagon alongside a field of flowers. I might have invented it, I might have invented it all.
