Days Like These

After the mist and drizzle, the fog and the gales, Orkney throws up days like these, when the sea sparkles in the sun and the sky seems to stretch out for ever.

A glorious morning up on the hill at the old army camp. The air was full of skylarks, twites and lapwings and rabbits scattered at our approach. Days like these make you glad to be alive and able to be out with a dog in the sunshine, so you have to make the most of them! The ironing can always wait!
