Bird boxes

A short walk along the Rochdale Canal in Sowerby Bridge today.

The views over the surrounding hills looked lush and I passed an interesting pub, the Puzzle Hall Inn. "Passed" please note. I was rather more puzzled by a tunnel to nowhere.

I chose to blip this very deep lock, because the lines of brickwork, ladders, railings appealed to me. It was only when I got home that I noticed the bird nesting boxes.
