Book week at school

Izzy decided that for this book week parade she would like to be Hermione Granger, obviously this wasn't decided until 4pm yesterday and we have to be done for school this morning!
So my sewing machine came out and her Gryffindor robes were made (complete with house badge - quite proud of that bit!) a marker pen on a tie and her old school socks and we were nearly done. The dog - Merlin, kindly donated a stick for the wand and the 'History of Quidditch' book completed the outfit! By this time Izzy had gone hunting in her dress up box and also found a broomstick and a 'golden snitch' but I had to advise that an accessory overkill might be too much and she couldn't carry everything!!!
Anyway all went well and I went to watch the book character parade at school this morning and the kids looked fab and had a great time, so I can relax until next year - which I will have sorted at least the week before!
