Finally - Dolores Colorado has a station
My new shingles arrived and are on. We are done with the station. You might see a thin brass rod sticking out of the roof near the front edge. This is to help me find a hole I drilled through the roof into the station for the train signal system. It is a small red piece that would be turned to tell an approaching train to stop. I have it assembled but need to spray paint it before installation so that the little details will not be lost. Since I want to use my air brush, I am waiting for more projects to make better use of the equipment.
Next task is to build a box full of details for the station - crates, milk cans, benches, scales, etc etc. I also have some people to put on the platform waiting for the train.
Once I get the details on, I want to add much landscaping, trees, weeds, junk, etc around the station, outhouse, and goose gas shed. Also a light pole. Then onto the goose barn which I will have to scratch build - there is no kit available to use.
It never ends but that is the idea.
