Up the Walk

This morning was the first time I'd had cause to cycle up the Walk since the Scottish Government announced an additional investment especially in cycling facilities in the promised revamp of Leith Walk to make good the utter mess caused by the aborted tram works a few years ago. Meanwhile we've had to tolerate the most awful road surfaces imaginable, which have resulted in my having to have several replacement bike wheels. Now, with the additional investment, there is a reasonable kitty to do something halfway decent, although the plans are still not finalised.

And of course, before we get to a shiny new Leith Walk, we will have to put up with more roadworks.

I suppose one thought is that at least it'll give me something to photograph.
