Lions

We were really quite worried last night as everyone we spoke to had seen Lion but we thought we were going to leave Africa without seeing any.

We needn't have worried. Shortly after leaving our lodge to travel across the Etosha park we saw an old male Lion by a waterhole. Shortly afterwards we saw 2 other younger males.

Towards the end of the day we then saw a pride of five Lions. This picture shows 2 young Lions playing. I think they are probably brother and sister.

It hasn't ceased to amaze us how many animals we have seen at close quarters. As we are self-driving we have the flexibility to go where we want and at our own speed

We are now at a lovely lodge with a really colonial feel. Just like the film 'Out of Africa'

Sorry for the lack of commenting. Internet access has been a bit variable and when we do get it it's often very slow.
