Windy field

The turbines were turning, well some were. Whenever I see wind turbines I always wonder about their value and efficiency. There always seem to be some pointing the wrong way or some not turning. The most amazing thing in this photo is that field of sheep at the top. Not the only time we saw hundreds of sheep in one field - it must the time of year for assessing them all. We managed to get a good walk around Ingbirchworth Reservoir in South Yorkshire. The turbines are on Royd moor and there is a great viewpoint with an indicator showing the points of interest in all directions. A little hazy but we could still pick out 3 power stations. Birdwatching highlight was 4 Yellowhammers near the viewpoint.
