Lovely Marilyn

Here's my dear friend Marilyn. I met her while driving bus. She was always gracious and welcoming to me...one of the first drivers who befriended me back in 1976 when I was in my twenties and she in her forties. When I came the first year in a costume for Halloween she checked the time card to see who I was and then said "Oh...is this the real Clare?" Ever since we were bonded together in as partners in crime and mischievousness at the bus garage. She began coming in costume for Halloween every year after that. A few times we were costume buddies...One time we came as Peanut Butter and Jam and sang a little tune. I was dressed as Mr. Peanut with real peanut butter smeared on my face and she as jam....we had cardboard with dried bread on it that we carried to look like a peanut butter and jam sandwich.

Another year we were bus garage angels and sang a silly song to the tune "Angel of the Morning". The boss at that time, who had a sense of humor, told us to keep our day jobs. Another time we were serial killers---she the cereal and I came and fake stabbed the box she wore---dumb I know.

But our grand finale was dressing up as viagra man---an offshoot we made up of Superman. We dressed the same but with a V on our capes. We attached these balloons under the front piece of our costumes and the tip of the balloons said BOO. We would raise up the balloons from under this cloth at one certain point in the song anchors away---our new boss was ex-navy and had no sense of humor.....The costume was "racey " and not worn on the bus. We spilled blue m and ms around to represent viagra. We decided we'd both go out in a flame and never dressed up again ---well not the last few years anyone before we were both retired. They ruined the dressing up by running a contest rewarded with money---took all the fun out.

So this classy looking woman here has a very wild side and was and still is a great friend and "partner in crime". Love you Marilyn!!!!
