Better late than never...
So today I had my first experience of Japanese Teppanyaki which was absolutely Teppanyumi!!!(The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan, which means iron plate, and yaki, which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried.) A friend from work had bought a Scoopon voucher (yes Scoopon) for a $40 meal which was only $15! Bargain! There was heaps of food and the food even came with a show! The chefs on the griddles chop up an omelette and basically throw it at you to catch in your mouth and even though I despise egg, the novelty of having it flipped about and thrown at me in a restaurant made the whole experience worth it! It was a gorgeous afternoon in Darling harbour Sydney and I could have quite easily spent the rest of the day there but the office was calling! The working day was finished with a few drinks in Ryan's Bar with Lynsey, a fellow expat which was lovely. I'm not quite sure where the last few months have gone and I apologise for being rubbish and not uploading any blip entries since I've been here but I've been rather busy! In a nutshell though, Sydney is amazeballs, the weather is lush and the people are great! :-) I will hopefully keep this up now and have a few more photees uploaded going forward! Chow for now! K x
