This book caught my attention, mainly cos of the cover shot. It's about moonlight and one of these books where the author takes a subject and rambles of at tangents while keeping the main theme as the hook keeping everything together. This caught me right away as I really like moonlight and this kind of book. Another similar type of book, although on a totally different subject is 'The Idea of North' by Peter Davidson
