Flying to Bed
Caught a long stream of seagulls flying to wherever they were choosing to spend the night. At times they land in great swarms on the golf course and sleep there, sometimes you can see them in fields, even in my yard at work. You knew when they'd kipped there as the yard was always full of feathers and deposits when we arrived for work in the morning. They don't always sleep on clifftops. They sleep everywhere....rooftops are worse as when one awakes and calls, the rest start too and very soon you have a dawn chorus. Where I used to live, further away from the seafront, they would start at 4am on light mornings, and it would then go on for hours. Ironically that's not the case now that I'm on the seafront. I love them (many don't) but not at 4am!
