DIVERSION!

The only blight on our travels earlier in the week were numerous ROAD AHEAD CLOSED signs, followed by the inevitable DIVERSION signs! Then the lengthy alternative routes...

Imagine how pleased we were on the last leg of the journey home to see a sign pronouncing A1 CLOSED SOUTH OF BERWICK. Where 'south of Berwick' exactly?! Diversion to where?! Aaaargh!

But we managed to avoid most of the diversion and made it home just a little later than anticipated.

The signs are multiplying - several different diversions in Berwick today...
