Photo-a-day retirement

Natural sculpture

Today the Nature Photogrpahy Club had a trip to Montgomery Park where there are lots of old totara stumps left from the forest that used to cover Banks Peninsula before it was felled, burned, cleared for farming.

Some stumps lie where they fell and have been moulded by time, wind, and weather into fantastic shapes, which although they are fascinating, are not as easy as it would seem to photograph!

This is the one I liked best from my efforts today.
