Foggy sunrise

The sun was masked by fog earlier today. I got another shot of half of the sun rising out of the fog - it was hard to choose which was to be the blip, but this one is just as striking.

It is odd. I had decided that blip is too hard for me - I have so little time, and we are still on dial-up at home because we live so remotely, so I can only do my blip uploads at work. I struggle to find the opportunity to look and comment on anyone else's stuff which is most of the fun. Anyway I had sort of decided to chuck it with a proviso that today would be the last if I didn't see something really awesome to photograph - then the sun came up.

It reminded me of when I first met my husband when he was an adventuring ski instructor - he would be off travelling in Nepal or Mongolia and I would not hear from him for weeks/months, so I would set a date by which I had to have received a letter or call, or else I would just give up on him. Sure as eggs, a bundle of battered aerograms would arrive just on the exact day I had designated.
