The day started with lightning and thunder,
And the rain hasn't stopped. We're all under
A cloud in full-burst.
Summer's gone and we thirst
For a fresh dose of Shtrickly - no wonder!

Woke at 5a.m. to an amazingly long-lasting thunderstorm. It was joined up sheet lighting for about an hour non-stop, and the rain that arrived with it has been unrelenting, ever since. It's the sort of weather that makes daytime telly seem justifiable, so I've just watched last night's recording of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and can't wait for the second half this evening that introduces the rest of this year's contenders.

Thought this TV shot of the judges was quite amusing - catching the moment that one camera shot blends with another. Unfortunately, it means Len's ugly mug (bless im!) masks the beautiful Darcey. (How come she's a year older but looks a year younger and more gorgeous every year?)

Meanwhile, thanks for all your kind words yesterday. Today I feel so much better - first day (thus far) without painkillers for some weeks, so the rib's on the mend. And I'm sure the new antibiotics are kicking in. Hope so - cos watching Strictly makes me want to get back to my Line Dancing. Haven't been for about six weeks now. Fingers crossed!
