Loopy Library

It's because of my blip friend that I finally decided to visit the new Library of Birmingham, and would you believe, I get home, look at his journal, and his last entry was from the secret terrace I was standing on a couple of hours ago.

Anyway, definitely an impressive building - largest public library in Europe. Not sure whether I really LIKE the outside - think it would have looked better with the filigree circles covering less space - maybe a plain glass facade inbetween two fancy ones. The large circles are meant to represent Birmingham's steel industry, and the smaller ones our unique jewellery quarter.

The inside I thought was stunning - the light and the escalators with blue lights, and loved the roof terraces. Went with the family today - plan to go again when I can spend longer taking it all in.
