What If

"Dominion" is a fictional look into how history would have been written if Lord Halifax was elected PM in 1940 instead of Churchill... While discussing the book with its promoters and taking their photograph, another very interesting encounter grabbed my attention.
I had never been asked for a photograph by my street subjects... until today!

James: Excuse me, can you take a picture of me and my friend Michael?

I (slightly taken by surprise): ... Of course! I'll be with you straight away! (thanked the book promoters and grabbed my camera bag off the floor)

James: Michael, we are having a picture taken! Me and you!

Michael: Oh, yeah? I like that!

James: Michael is my best friend!

I: Have you been friends for a long time?

James: More than 30 years! ... I can talk to him about ANYTHING! ... I have to be home by 1 o'clock. I am out with Michael now!

I: Michael, I like your rings!

Michael (raising his hands): Yeah! I've had them a while...

I: Shall I take a portrait of your hands? ... Just rest them on your leg!

Michael: Like that?

I: Perfect!

James (somewhere from the background, while I'm focusing on Michael's hands): Michael is my best friend! ... I always tell him - "Dress smart! Be presentable! You show respect for yourself!..."

I: How do you like these? (showing them some in-camera images)

James: That's us! (smiling)

I: Shall I send you copies? Do you have an email?

James: No... Post them to us! I'll tell you the address...
