Loving Whinlatter

An absolutely gorgeous Cumbrian autumn day. Shirt sleeve weather!

We headed up to Whinlatter near Keswick and it was the perfect day to explore the forest. Not many people except cyclists up there so it was nice and laid back.

Kids had so much fun on the Wild Play. This is them on the basket swing. Just love their expressions! More pics on flickr which for some reason have ended up in two different sets so please look both here and here.

We came back via Castlerigg Stone Circle. There had been a druid and hippie ceremony earlier in the day and an anti fracking protest but all gone by the time we got there! Amazing place.
