I've just finished reading Stone's Fall by Ian Pears - a really gripping read.
It's got a structure I found a bit confusing at first, with different narrators, moving between settings and eras - but once I got my head round it, that was one of the things that made it such a satisfying, absorbing book.
It's a mystery/thriller, where a lot of situations and people aren't what they seem. It's full of great characters, recurring threads and themes - and while it's set in the past, it chimes with some more recent financial crises and shenanigans.
Personally, I hate knowing what happens in a book, so before I say too much I'd urge you go and get yourself a copy.
