Fuzzy Cheeks

Well, true to her nature, Alyssa loves to take care of any kind of animal. She and her brother were asked to look after our friends' cats and chix while away on holiday and they did a great job. They were so attentive. One of these chix is named Fuzzy Cheeks...too cute.

Later in the evening we took the kids out for ice cream. We sat in the grass, making a quick mess of our ice cream. After inhaling their frozen delights the kids found another little girl to play with while the adults continued to eat. Alyssa and the little girl ran up to us to tell us they are new friends. I asked the little girl how old she was and she tentatively held out four fingers and with a big smile said, "I am four years old."

So as I am well aware of the pecking order, Alyssa turns to me, waving her hand in my face and says, "But Mom, I'm older... I'm a whole hand full!"
