Beauty in Decay

A return visit this morning to the derelict water treatment works at North Third Reservoir near Stirling. It's a fine subject for HDR photography - you can see the others on my flickr stream.

I went to get these shots in the old building and scope it out for a light painting trip. It'll be superb, if a bit treacherous, and there's a dam nearby with a fish ladder and pier offering all sorts of slow-expo, multicoloured, sparky spinning potential. The reservoirs half empty just now, and the fish ladder's dry, so it'll have to wait for a few months. Time to do a rain dance....
