Morris dancers

'Apple Day' dawned - true to form, pouring with rain. It brightened later in the morning, and was positively balmy in the afternoon. The 'Open Church' event was a success and the church looked spectacular. I spent quite a lot of money....hand made lavender and sandlewood soap, local soft cheese, apple jelly infused with earl grey tea, apple and chilli grain mustard and I had a go on the 'felting' stall. I came away with felt covered soap, that you use whilst the felt cover is actually on.
I sat drinking tea and eating cake with my daughter, and the entertainment was this troupe of Morris Dancers. They were great, and you could tell they were enjoying themselves so much. I would love to have a go...I might see if any local groups are recruiting new members... ( sorry kids) This affinity with Morris Dancing must be a hereditary thing, as my father used to do this when he was younger. At least, that's what he told me!
