Colwith Force
Still trying to get photo mojo back.
Colwith Force' (pron Col'ith drop the w). Took a long await spin up to the Lakes. First visit in 5 months. Climbed up Lingmoor Fell in between Great and Little Langdale. Tis a hill of small altitude but great all round views of its larger cousins. Mrs wild was wishing for afternoon tea and scones at around 3;30pm and illuded that some enterprising farmers wife was missing a trick by not setting up shop on the very popular path through the Little Langdale valley when as if by magic no more than a few 100 yards further on Stang End farm was open for business. Tea and scones on the lawn with a view to die for. She has only been doing it for 12 months and only when its fine, but in the half hour we were there she must have taken £50. We had to shorten our walk by a mile as a result of the stop.
Colwith Force is a cracking waterfall either in full flood or tame as it was today. There is a small scale hydro scheme operating alongside the falls
