Beach Huts - waiting patiently

Away with my two brothers and our wives this weekend as we all have significant birthdays or anniversaries this year. We chose to come to the Bournemouth area for just a couple of nights.

As we were able to get here early it gave us a chance to meet up with fellow-blipper Honeycombe Beach and Mr HCB for a coffee at their favourite (?) local cafe before the rest of the family arrived. It was good to see them and share stories of life together.

Later on we were able to walk along the promenade and saw these wonderful, colourful beach huts just sitting on the prom, ready to be used by their owners. This particular section were brightly painted, but all different. Further along they were still different, but it was also true that some of them appeared to have suffered due to their exposure to all that life (or in this case sea air) had thrown at them.

It strikes me that for the average beach hut, most of it's life is spent just waiting, but then when it is 'active' it brings great pleasure to those who use it. Perhaps we sometimes are like that - most of the time life goes on as usual, but then from time to time we can really be a blessing to those we come into contact with. Some of us that will be quite often, for others it may be less frequent. But for all its a case of being there, being in the right place just when we are needed.
