Image Transfer class
Here is Tom holding up the large image transfer piece he did near the end of our class today. His sister Linda is on the left. Also in attendance: Alexis, Linda's daughter & Tom's niece, and our own Ann Hall! In fact, we have a bit of a 'blip snap' because Ann did her blip on today's class too! See it here.
Tom had taken an image transfer class with me last year, put wanted to learn how to transfer larger images -not always easy to do. I had a hunch that TAP transfer paper would work better for this than the gel medium transfers we had done and I was right! Tom certainly proved that. This was a large 8-1/2" x 11" image, printed onto the TAP paper. Tom is very inventive and ripped the paper image into pieces before laying it down. He ironed it following instructions onto muslin and voila'!
Everyone in class had great results, even 12 year old Alexis. I do think she enjoyed playing with Asia and Chloe when she was not transfering or collaging - we found she had made a "spirit circle" of dog toys on the bed and when I popped in there was Asia happily lying in the middle of it!
Tired, but happy for a good class. There are a few more photos from the class here. Oh! This is also formulated for Square September!
