The Moment

An exciting evening at the launch of my friend's first novel. The book, 'The Moment' starts and finishes at Paddington station and so the launch was fittingly held at the hotel at the station. Lots of my friends were there from all kinds of places - NCT coffee mornings years ago, book groups, other local parents, school contacts and neighbours and so it was a lovely opportunity to catch up as well as celebrate the book. We've followed C's progress through her writing career and we're all hoping that this new book will do well for her. The book has already been translated in to several languages and will also be appearing in a Tesco/ASDA/WH Smiths/Waterstones near you!

Headed back home on a very busy train with some of the book group. Had just got seated when we were told that the train had broken down and was unlikely to move soon. We traipsed off and went in search of an alternative train. As it was so busy we were allowed to sit in first class and had a very nice journey home - better not get used to it, I'm back in cattle class tomorrow.
