Purple Dots in a Sea of Red
One of the first plants to give up on summer in these parts is Virginia Creeper (Parthenocisus quinquefolia). There is a lovely specimen along a nearby fence that is fiery red and has yet to have its fruits stripped by neighbourhood birds. A nice contrast early in the early morning sun.
