History lessons

Spent the morning visiting some of Leith's buildings of historic interested which are usually closed to the public but are accessible as part of Edinburgh's Open Doors weekend.

We arrived at South Leith Parish Church just at the end of the Sunday morning service, and joined the heathens going in, while the devout filed out. The organist was still playing, above the motto of Leith 'Persevere'.
