Kyoto by night
A conference in Kyoto gave me the opportunity to have a Japanese dinner on the river in the city. Set in a great location and benefited from perfect evening temperatures.
I tried sukiyaki, a traditional Japanese dish consisting of thinly sliced beef, slowly cooked at the table, alongside tons of vegetables. It cooks in an iron pot in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and mirin. Before being eaten, the ingredients are usually dipped in a bowl of raw eggs. Sounds a little unusual but tastes amazing!
Never miss a party...good for the nerves--like celery.
