wigtown book festival

a good day today as me and caroline headed to wigtown book festival. the weather was totally gorgeous and it was perfect for going to explore another nearby(ish) town :-) really enjoyed having a little nose round the shops, galleries and little markets and went to a creative writing session (something i have never done before but quite enjoyed it because of that reason - got quite emo at one stage!) and to a talk and poetry reading session from 2 scottish poets. the day also included a random sighting of joanna lumley, eating cake in a posh secret cafe, nosing round some really nice old book shops (one with a bed in that u can stay in overnight! brilliant!) and receiving a pocket guide to scottish words from caroline to say thank you for driving her around everywhere - it is sooo cool! :-)
