Dead Wood

Bright and breezy today so walked around the more sheltered Goit Stock.

Here I thought I'd spotted a knob attached to a dead plants stem - but it's a fungus - complete with a leaf drape.

Not really a pretty sight - like wot I am - but one of natures more intriguing ones
