The Beach and Cliffs at Tarbat Ness
This is the most easterly part of Ross-shire and als home of the Tarbat Ness Lighthouse. This was designed by Robert Stevenson and came into service in 1830. The red stripes were added in 1913. It is the second tallest land sighted lighthouse in Scotland at 43 metres tall. It became fully automated in 1987! We didn't really go to see the lighthouse, but as it was there, we had a look. We really went to see the cliffs and sea and the Tarbat visitor centre, but I thought this was a nice photo! The weather was warm and sunny today again! Long may it continue!
