A life lived backwards

By GailyWhaley

A brave day

I felt very brave today, so knocked on the door of the big house down the road.

I asked the man if he could cut his hedge so pedestrians could pass without having to walk in the road or being lashed by brambles in the wind. I tried to be very nice. He had a very cross face. I explained to him that there were a number of particularly vulnerable people who couldn't pass safely. He didn't seem overly bothered about them but was very concerned that I may have alerted the council. He said it would cost £800 and he didn't have £800. I suggested I could lend him my hedge cutter and I would help. He said he would sort it tomorrow. We shall see.

I sound like one of those busy body type people.

...that's because I am.

Happy sunny Sunday all.
