Old friends (who are young!)

We had lunch today with some old friends who are Thomas' godparents. Thankfully the M25 was not too bad today and we got to Harpenden in time for lunch. It was lovely to get together and catch up on all their news and news of other mutual friends.

In this photo you can see our boys with their two children, who I have known since they were born. Nicole was born three months before Luke, and Greg was born one month before Adam and there are many happy memories of shared childhood activities spent together. We were reminiscing today about when Nicole dressed Adam up in her fairy outfit (we still have the photo to prove it) and when Luke introduced Nicole to playing in the mud and her parents saw their lovely little girl with a face smeared in mud. They all died of embarrassment when we said we have photos of them all bathing together - not the kind of thing 17 and 16 year olds want to hear! We had some laughs at these memories!
