Psychotic dragonfly?

It seemed to be trying to lay eggs in the moss at the edge of the pond. Or perhaps it was scent marking, or whatever the dragonfly equivalent is. Anyway, it spent a long time trying different bits of foliage - all well out of the water - but kept coming back to this bit.
