A bunch of ones and zeros saved my arse

Poor planning on my part and the inability to figure out that September 29th falls on a Saturday this year meant that it was impossible for me to get Nana her birthday cards on time for her birthday.

That would be without counting on the digitalisation of images, email and broadband.

Shitloads of little ones and zeros have almost instantaneously transferred the kids' birthday cards to their Nana two hundred miles away (which may not seem like much, well not much to anyone who's been fortunate enough never to drive on a twisty Irish road stuck behind a granny in a Micra reaching 40 mph in second gear at 5,000 rpm)

2013 was a good vintage.
Finn drew a plane with a wing blown off by an explosion plummeting to the ground. Highly topical!
Luca drew Mario Bros, with some nasty looking bats, pissed off fishes and psychotic mushrooms. He really knows what his Nana is big into.
Mimi... well... Mimi... Ever the manipulator, she opted for a crowdpleaser of her and Nana hand in hand with big bright smile. She knows what the public wants, and she delivers. She's trouble that Mimi, she's trouble...
