Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes and the concrete cows have been much maligned, but there is a lot of good modern design in the city. The roads are lined with tress and shrubs hiding the houses behind all the greenery, the many roundabouts are landscaped, there are a number of really beautiful parks and green spaces, modern sculptures like the one in this photo are positioned all over the city, the shopping centre is huge and the buses are frequent and always seem to run on time. Not bad for what was originally intended as merely a London overspill.
