Windswept Walk

The craft shop I am involved in is a co-operative, and every year the Committee have a summer social. Some years we visit a garden, a castle or similar, some years we just go for a walk and have a jolly good meal! Today we walked round Hunda, an uninhabited little island just off Burray, another island, but joined on by a narrow causeway.

Six of us, and three dogs, did the walk, which took us about an hour and a half, by which time we had worked up quite an appetite, then we met up with the other five for a meal in the local restaurant. A lot of the walk was through heather. Quite exhausting to walk through for any length of time!

I'd made carrot and Parmesan dog biscuits for the dogs so they didn't feel too left out! This is Mollie, a Border Terrier x Collie with lovely ears and amazing whiskers!
