Late developer

This, in case it is unfamiliar, is the flower of the Passion Fruit vine.
The flowers are incredibly complex and really rather beautiful.
Strangely, the vine had appeared dormant all summer but now, in the last days of September, has decided to flower!
I would imagine that the chances of a Passionfruit appearing later in the autumn are pretty remote,but we shall see. Perhaps the plant knows best?
