As though it never happened

I think those of you living in Edinburgh will agree that the weather of the past two weeks has been most disappointing. Yes there has been the occasional spot of sunshine, but just as you get your shorts and sunnies out, the heavens open and its back to the waterproofs and wellies.

Today was no exception.

Just as he had ordered our drinks with a plan to enjoy an afternoon of warm sunshine at the outdoor festival venue, the heavens did the worst they could have done. It lasted just long enough to soak everyone through and then disappear as though it never happened.

Ah well. Back to the pub to dry out...
