Sub-Tropical Garden.
This is the Victorian style, sub-tropical area of Clare College gardens. Refurbished from 1947 by Professor Nevill Wilmer, who died in 2001 aged 98. He was extremely skillful in his manipulation of perspective, design and colour. It is open to the public (entry fee unless a resident with pass) and is to be seen in the Fellows Garden. Some of the plants listed are zanadu and elephants ears, but I wouldn't know any of them, although, thanks to blip I have learned the names of some flowers, previously unknown to me.
