Sun on the hill
After driving past some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland I chose this shot, taken at the Green Welly in Tyndrum as my blip for the day. Why? Because I knew that if I stopped to shoot the spectacular Buchaille, gloomy Rannoch moor or stunning Loch Tulla, I'd end up behind the bus, the tanker, the arthritic artic and the ubiquitous caravans I'd stressed myself out passing over the last hour.
Sometime I think the trip to Skye at September weekend isn't worth the bother. Then I remember the light on the shore at Staffin last night and the silence at Trumpan on Saturday afternoon, and of course, the wee dram or two and the craic on Friday night at the house in Staffin.
Would I do it again? Of course I would, just not tonight.
