More fruit

I seem to have posted a lot of fruity pictures this summer. This old apple tree is not very healthy and has produced very little fruit in the 27 years we have lived here, but it has gone mad this year. The apples are small, but attractively rosy, and contrast beautifully with the bright blue sky seen through the branches.

Blue sky? What a strange year this has been. Winter went on until June, and now the skies are clear, and it is lovely and warm out, yet tomorrow is October! I think there must have been a time shift or a time warp.
