Discworld
Which won't mean a thing to anyone who has never read one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books, so here is a brief description:
The Discworld is the fictional setting for all of Terry Pratchett's Discworld fantasy novels. It consists of a large disc (complete with edge-of-the-world drop-off and consequent waterfall) resting on the backs of four huge elephants which are in turn standing on the back of an enormous turtle, named Great A'Tuin (similar to Chukwa or Akupara from Hindu mythology) as it slowly swims through space.

I've had it in mind to do this picture for some time, but thanks to the fact that I had a very long sleep Sunday night, I found myself wide awake very early this morning with time on my hands, and this is what I did with that time.
One of the wonderful things about books is the way in which we each create our own picture of people, locations and events. One of the things that is often so disappointing about seeing the film of the book is that it is not how you pictured it in your mind. This is very true for me with the Discworld books, several of which have been televised and have just not worked for me.
Happy things - another member, dwalletta has signed up for a Photoshop course and gives me some credit for inspiring her to do so. Well done you and I look forward to seeing the results. Don't hesitate to ask if you think I can help
Sad things - Glicious' post from yesterday. My thoughts are with her sister
Scary things - First critical project review tomorrow and I should be preparing for that not blipping!
