Sick looking frogmouth

Tawny frogmouths have been a fairly common fixture around the property.

This one was sat on the ground under the jacaranda this evening and it didn't look at all well.

One eye looked as though it had a cataract, and the other looked as though it had been pecked out.

It let me get really close and made no attempt to fly off.

Very sad :(
