Honeycomb

We are in the 'wilds' of North Yorkshire for a few days and whilst Mr H has nipped home for a long standing dentist appointment, Reggie and I have been for a good long walk that required both knees in full working order. I took one photo of some hips and haws - must make some jam when we get home- which were laden and wonderfully coloured, but in the wood just before I got back I saw this bee hive. There were better photo opportunities of the honey comb but the bees were being very industrious and I didn't want to get too close and disturb them. Strangely I had some honey with my breakfast this morning, a rare treat, so it was great to see some really wild honey in its purest form.
